What We Believe

God
There’s only one God who exists as a trinity – Father, Son and Holy Spirit. God is alive and knows all things. He is in complete control of everything and He is pure, true and good. God is love, but also righteous and punishes sin.

God created people in His own image
God created people in His own image, and that makes us all special. We were made to know Him, to love Him and to give Him glory.

Human Beings
The first human beings (Adam and Eve) rebelled and disobeyed God. All people are now affected by sin and separated from God, both in this life, and after we die (in hell).

God so loved the world
God so loved the world that He sent His only Son (Jesus) to die on the cross in our place – taking the punishment for our sins that we deserved.

Jesus rose from the dead on the third day
Jesus rose from the dead on the third day, and then went back to heaven where He reigns forever.

The only way to be forgiven
The only way to be forgiven, made right with God and guaranteed a place in heaven, is to believe that what Jesus did was for us and turn to God, asking Him to save us and forgive us for our sins, making Him the centre of our lives.

The Holy Spirit comes to live inside every new believer
The Holy Spirit comes to live inside every new believer, giving them the power to live for God, and helping them to know that they belong to Him.

The Bible is fully inspired by God
The Bible is fully inspired by God, and is all we need to know about what God is like, how to get to heaven and how to live for Him.

Every Christian has been given a part to play
Every Christian has been given a part to play in God’s great mission of making disciples from every corner of the world.

Jesus is going to come back one day
Jesus is going to come back one day to judge everyone (alive and dead) and to take His people home to be with Him in heaven.
